Ramiel,
you mentioned "raw eggs" in the book possibly giving detox symptoms. I have been using raw duck eggs (mainly only yolks) and lately i have been itchy and developed red pinhead size bumps on my torso - would that be the type of detox symptom you referred too? Otherwise i wonder if i have a raw egg allergy.
thank you!!

Hi Aly,

Some people can be allergic to duck eggs. I don't know why.
A detoxification response from eggs typically is short term and intense releasing of toxins with flu like symptoms. Red bumps typically is a toxic response people with weak digestion have to animal proteins, including duck meat. This is because the duck is very fatty. Red bumps could also be aluminum and other metals that may be being pushed up to the surface.

I am not certain what category the bumps falls into. But if I were to make a guess, the way I would resolve this would be to focus on gentle cleansing, building and detoxification using herbs, and/or vegetable juices. I would suspect that over time your digestion would improve and the red bumps would go away.

Longer term symptoms seem to indicate more of an allergy, or toxins that are stuck in your system.

I think you should decide on continuing the raw duck eggs based on how you feel. If you feel great with your raw duck eggs, then keep going. If you don't feel so good, maybe take a break.

good luck,
